Today’s sacrifice is dedicated to one of the most fundamental instructions that goddess has ever given:

remember,
it is your task,
in honor of the cult and
its leader whom you so
readily joined,
to look out for yourselves,
your bodies and your minds.

after all, you are the cult’s,
you are my devotee,
and devotees should look after themselves,
keep themselves maintenanced
as best they can.

yes, goddess.
And as I slowly find my way into this beautiful life that you have blessed me with, I constantly keep this task in mind, so that all the things which I am newly establishing or reestablishing in my life are aimed at keeping myself well-maintained.
Goddess, I know that self-care isn’t an optional thing that can be skipped because I deem myself too irrelevant - it is a form of serving you.
You have entrusted me with this body and mind, and I will always do my best to keep them in a well-maintained, healthy state, so that I can fulfill my purpose of devotion as best as possible.
For I am not to rule over myself in any way - you alone are, and nothing in me would ever question or doubt your absolute, magnificent divine rule.

Even during my darkest days, I was able to maintain a basic level of self-care. Sure, I wasn’t able to, for example, paint my nails, but goddess doesn’t ask perfection of me: I am to fulfill this order of keeping myself well-maintained as best I can. I would never have been able to do this for myself. But her word, her will, is an unstoppable force. Even if I wanted to fight back against it, it would be absolutely pointless. Her word is my reality. And if she tells me to keep myself in a useful state for her, I will do my absolute best to follow this instruction. Everything in my life is subordinated to her worship - she assigned me my place in this world, and there is nothing more important to me than to faithfully fulfill my role as her devotee.

Thank you, goddess, for offering me a way to think about myself and my life that helps me grow and flourish.
Thank you, goddess, for allowing me to put myself and my existence in service of your divinity.
Thank you, goddess, for taking such good care of me.
