Goddess,
no one but you holds influence or power over me. So I won’t let anyone else determine what part of your magnificent word to focus on today, neither directly, nor indirectly. I don’t want to tarnish the dignity of your word, I don’t want to misuse this gift that you bestowed on me. Instead, I will do my best to contribute to its effect of shaping my mind, shaping my reality, by choosing something relevant to a problem that I should work on.

Being of use for others is a state of pure bliss. Centering the wishes of others gives my life a purpose. Creating happiness in others is the greatest feeling there is. I don’t need much for myself, as long as I am allowed to give.

And yet, goddess has taught me one thing: I must not make just anyone the center of my attention - I must be thoughtful who to expose myself to. There are beings who only ever just take. There are beings who think there is nothing wrong with depleting me, who think that basic decency isn’t required. These beings, who, in the past, have held various positions of power over me, have hurt me, but resisting any of them is really, really hard. But how can I center the needs of others, when some of them just demand more and more?
I am but a mortal, simple little entity. Goddess has bestowed limited capacity on me. That also means that she has given me the responsibility of using that capacity well. Therefore, I must resist those who greedily take and take from me, so that I have enough energy for those who genuinely appreciate me.

Goddess, please give me the strength to do so.
