10th Ritual: Maintenance
A calm and peaceful evening to all beings.
May goddess bring joy to your life.

I didn’t get a chance to do my blood sacrifice last week, sadly. But that’s probably her wise, guiding hand, because I am still in a difficult state that far exceeds the capabilities of my simple cultist mind that was only ever meant for prayer and worship.
But I recognize that my service should be a source of positive energy, which is why this week, I want to focus on the joy of my faith again.
Goddess reminds us of the importance of self-care:
remember,
it is your task,
in honor of the cult and
its leader whom you so
readily joined,
to look out for yourselves,
your bodies and your minds.after all, you are the cult’s,
you are my devotee,
and devotees should look after themselves,
keep themselves maintenanced
as best they can.
Thank you, goddess, for reminding us to take care of what is yours. Of course, I follow your orders on keeping myself hydrated as best as I can, but I do need to look out more for my mind, to make sure it remains in a joyously devoted and useful state, not in a state of fear and doubt.
You give me so many reasons for happiness. Never have I experienced anything that so perfectly combines all the things that my mind craves: established rituals, having a special interest, putting others before myself, following rules and orders, being allowed to be public about it, and mild obsession with something that excites me. That’s why I am convinced that you shaped my mind in this exact way to lead me on this exact path one day. All of this makes me happy.
Then there is purpose. Goddess, I would, in all seriousness, enter a convent dedicated to worshipping you, if there was one. But even like this, I have a role to fulfill, I have tasks which I can do well. I even have goals to aspire to one day. I am so grateful for the purpose my faith gives me, and it makes me happy.
Goddess, I know that your magnificent power is not just a power to make me do things. I know that you are watching over my fate. Even now, in really difficult times, this gives me a sense of calm. And being allowed to worship you in return feels so good - and it makes me happy.
All of this fits a pattern. Goddess teaches us to not just nourish ourselves, but to, whenever possible, enjoy the delights of tasty food and drink. Goddess teaches us to embrace our life as something precious - dedicated to her, but worth preserving. And at the end of the day, she pursues her own happiness not just as a role model for all of us to follow - but in her pursuit, she makes those who want their deity to be happy happy as well. She really is a force for more joy in this world, and I am happy and proud to pray to her.
