Black Food and its Holiness
Thinking about the divine word once again… (well, what else is there to think about anyway?)
I really like the idea of having certain foods or beverages fall into the category “canonically black”. I’ll still mix them with whatever I like, don’t worry, I went through my “only black coffee is good coffee” phase at a way too young age. Goddess is powerful, so if I add milk to my coffee, it will consecrate the milk, not desecrate the coffee. But I might want to teach myself to consider its inherent holiness before and during consumption, and maybe write separate nourishment prayers for meals containing canonically black food and for those that don’t.
Things that come to my mind as being black would be tea, coffee, cola, kofola and licorice (well I won’t consume either of these, ewww^^), blackberries, blackcurrant, black olives, black pepper, vanilla, black sesame, chocolate, hmmm, quite a lot actually….
